British automotive marketplace CarWow has appointed Sepi Arani as head of OEM. Arani will develop CarWow’s OEM service to integrate media, data and technical services with brands and investors.

Arani (LinkedIn profile) joins CarWow from peer-to-peer car sharing company Hiyacar. He was previously the future mobility operations manager at Audi and Volkswagen, where he served in sales and digital strategy roles, including delivering Audi’s first-ever online vehicle deposit platform.

“We have a fantastic opportunity to support automotive brands as a strategic partner, not only in getting the right car to the right customer but also in furthering the true understanding of changing customer behaviours and needs as the industry moves towards online sales and electrification,” said Arani.

 

By hiring Arani, CarWow continues to strengthen its senior management team after securing £25 million ($32 million U.S.) in new funding from a recent round led by Daimler. The crowdfunding campaign raised over £5 million and reached its £2 million target in less than one hour.
