Merkle, a Dutch data-driven performance marketing agency, is launching an international marketplaces hub. With Amazon‘s launch in the Netherlands set for Feb. 2020 and the growth of marketplaces such as Bol.com and Alibaba, Merkle sees a need for improved insights.

In addition to technical integration, Merkle will help retailers and brands with full account management, obtaining data insights and deploying advertisements on marketplaces such as Marktplaats and Bol.com. 

Merkle already operates in 10 countries, including the U.S., U.K., Germany and France and is an official Amazon partner. The marketplaces team will consist of 35 members, 10 of which are based in the Netherlands.

“For Dutch retailers and brands, Amazon is a new and interesting channel to reach new customers, especially since searches with the intention of buying a product are increasingly moving towards marketplaces,” said Ted Hartkamp, ​​a digital strategy consultant at Merkle Nederland. “With the knowledge and experience in our newly assembled international team, we can better help our customers with the strategy and technical innovations in order to stay ahead.”
