Property listing giant Zillow has launched a new feature that lets home shoppers book tours of newly constructed homes with the push of a button.
The Onsite Tour-Booking button is available to subscribers of Zillow’s Promoted Communities, a fee-based service for high-volume builders. When customers tap the button, a dialog box appears allowing them to send a text request to the builder along with their contact details.
This feature, similar to one offered on listings of existing homes, is meant to level the marketing playing field for home builders, according to Zillow.
Marketing services around newly built homes is a developing category for Zillow. The Promoted Communities product debuted in the U.S. in 2016, and rolled out in Canada this past fall.
