Move, Inc., which operates the No. 2 U.S.-based real estate portal Realtor.com, has named David Doctorow as CEO. Doctorow (LinkedIn profile) previously served as head of global growth at EBay Marketplaces. Before starting at EBay in 2016, he was chief marketing and strategy officer at Expedia.
Doctorow will report to Tracey Fellows, president of Global Digital Real Estate at News Corp, Move, Inc.’s parent company. Fellows had been serving as Move, Inc.’s interim CEO since Ryan O’Hara vacated the post in June.
Doctorow joins Move, Inc. at a time when it’s emerged as one of the fastest-growing properties of parent company News Corp. The company’s revenue growth is largely driven by its acquisition of Opcity, a success-based advertising service that allows real estate agents to subscribe for free and pay only for referrals that result in sales.
At News Corp’s last quarterly earnings call, the company announced it would continue to develop Move, Inc. by adding home mortgages and other “adjacencies” to its core ad products.
