Saramin.co.kr, the biggest recruitment marketplace in South Korea, has introduced an AI-powered resume screening tool to help job-seekers understand the strengths and weaknesses of their profiles.
The tool compares candidates’ resumes with a database of 10,000 resumes and then offers suggestions for improvement based on job-seekers’ education and qualifications.
The AI comparison and analysis tool complements a mock interview app launched by Saramin in October. That app assesses recorded videos of job-seekers using a variety of parameters, including facial expression, voice, pronunciation, speed and gaze.
Sang-Wook Bang, an executive director at Saramin, said the new tool takes advantage of big data capabilities to increase employability and reduce mismatches.
Saramin is owned and operated by Saramin HR Inc.. The company began its foray into jobs advertisement in 2004 with construction jobs search engine, Kisuljob.co.kr, which has since closed.
Saramin.co.kr saw 11.5 million visitors in December, according to SimilarWeb.com. The company’s main competitor, JobKorea.co.kr, had 8.1 million visitors, followed by Alba.co.kr (5 million), Incruit.com (2.6 million) and Kr.Indeed.com (1.4 million).
