East African jobs board Jobsikaz has rebranded as Emploi as part of an expansion into full-service recruitment operations.
“Jobsikaz as pronounced was too jobseeker-centered,” said Emploi chief executive officer, Sophy Mwale. “With the introduction of strong recruiter tools we realized we needed a name that speaks to them, too.”
Launched in 2017, Emploi operates in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda and targets job vacancies in small and medium-sized businesses. The site has now upgraded its recruitment engine to incorporate data and machine learning technology to predict candidate-to-role suitability. Using a variety of data points, the engine is able to accurately match a candidate in 78% of cases, according to the company.
The job matching engine and end-to-end recruitment process management tools also reduces the time and cost of recruitment, it said. And, candidates now have access to career management tools, as well as networking and learning opportunities.
The move is part of Emploi’s plan to aggressively expand into more African markets by 2021.
“We are looking into full market entry in Rwanda this year. We are also targeting minimal presence in Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Somalia and South Sudan by next year,” Mwale disclosed.
