Polish recruitment site GoWork has expanded abroad, opening sites in France and Spain. The site faces tough competition in these markets but believes it can attract users with its employer review feature.
GoWork.pl is the most-visited Polish recruitment site by unique users, ahead of OLX.pl Jobs and Pracuj.pl, according to traffic data from PBI / Gemius. The site’s popularity in Poland is largely due to its employer review feature, which lets employees review employers anonymously, as long as they comply with the terms and conditions of the site. Employees can focus their review on a specific department as well as ask questions or signal a problem.
GoWork CEO Adam Kosieradzki told the AIM Group that the site will also focus on attracting job postings from Spanish and French companies, which it sees as its best source of income.
GoWork faces fierce competition from traditional market leaders in Spain and France, including state-owned Pole-Emploi.fr, Recruit Holding’s Indeed.fr and MeteoJob.com in France, and Adevinta’s InfoJobs.net, Recruit Holding’s Indeed.es and Vovento Media Group’s InfoEmpleo.com in Spain.
The site operates as part of the GoWork Group, which turned PLN 73 million ($19 million U.S.) in revenue in FY2018. GoWork.pl makes up approximately 8% of the group’s total revenue. Other revenue streams include recruitment services (mainly for businesses from Germany), as well as training and post-secondary education offered at the company’s school, which has branches in several cities in Poland.
