Polish media group Agora has shut down job board GazetaPraca.pl. The company plans to instead focus on developing its other recruitment site, GoldenLine.pl.
In recent years, Gazetapraca.pl has been a victim of low traffic. In January 2013, the site had over 1 million unique monthly visitors, which steadily declined year-on-year. This January, the site had only 71,400 visits, according to the Gemius / PBI survey.
GazetaPraca now redirects to GoldenLine. Agora first invested in GoldenLine in 2011 when it purchased 36% of its shares for PLN 11.5 million. In 2016, Agora became the majority stakeholder in GoldenLine when it purchased an additional 53% of shares for PLN 8.5 million.
GoldenLine is one of the leading recruitment sites in Poland. It competes mainly with Grupa Pracuj’s Pracuj.pl, GoWork Group’s GoWork.pl, Careesma’s Infopraca.pl and Naspers’ OLX.pl.
