Steve Greenfield, a former VP at both Cox Automotive Group and TrueCar, has joined the board of directors at Black Widow Imaging, an automated imaging company for automotive auctions.

Greenfield, a regular contributor to AIM Group Marketplaces Report, is CEO and founder of Automotive Ventures, an Atlanta-based automotive technology consultancy that advises entrepreneurs seeking to raise money and maximize the value of their companies. He also helps private equity firms conduct due diligence on automotive technology acquisitions, advises technology CEOs on strategy, and helps represent sellers at time of sale.

Greenfield recently left TrueCar, where he was SVP of strategy and business development. Previously, he was a vice president at AutoTrader.com, where he oversaw the acquisitions of VAuto, Kelley Blue Book, HomeNet Automotive, VinSolutions and DealerScience. He has also served as director of international development at Manheim, the automotive auction company owned by Cox Automotive Group.
