Monster Germany announced that EU managing director, Marc Irmisch-Petit, will leave the company this month “at his own request.”

The job site didn’t say who will replace Irmisch-Petit (LinkedIn profile), who has been with the company for more than six years. Irmisch-Petit joined Monster in 2013 as sales director. He quickly moved up the corporate ladder, becoming managing director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland before managing the company’s European operations.

“In the past two years, he has shaped Monster’s European strategy and represented the markets as managing director EU in the executive leadership team,” Monster said in a news release. “In this role, he was involved in the implementation of many initiatives that have positioned Monster as a relevant partner for candidates and companies and have driven the digitization of the industry.”

Monster Germany, headquartered in Eschborn, is among the best-known career portals in the country. Owned by Randstad Holding, the company has been active for over two decades. The company, once a pioneer in online recruitment, now faces tough competition in Germany from Axel Springer-owned StepStone and Indeed.
