Dot Property, an operator of property portals in Southeast Asian, has promoted commercial director James Claassen to general manager.

Claassen (LinkedIn profile) has over ten years of real estate experience and was previously a manager at Private Property, a South Africa-based real estate portal.

“James has a strong background in property portals, plenty of experience leading teams and more importantly, he knows Dot Property,” group CEO Mauricio Silber said in a news release. “We are both excited about the future we are building in real estate and the opportunities we see in the region.”

The group operates real estate sites under the Dot Property brand in several Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore. Dot Property also operates Thailand-Property.com, an English language real estate site.

Dot Property is a subsidiary of Lifull Connect, which was formed last year by Lifull Inc. to manage its listings aggregation services. Last month, Lifull revised down its revenue forecast for 2020. Revenue for its overseas segment, which includes Lifull Connect, is now projected at Y5.8 billion, down from the original estimate of Y9 billion.
