Yandex-owned autos vertical Auto.ru, has announced a few new features, including machine learning to help buyers spot top listings and updated call tracking for dealers.

The machine learning feature uses an algorithm to analyze dozens of parameters, including price, mileage, number of owners, and other features to determine which listing is the best at a given price.

Auto.ru marks listings with a special badge corresponding to how good of a deal a listing is. If the price matches the average unit price for that vehicle, the badge says “good price.” If the price is lower than the average price for similar vehicles, the badge says “best price.”

The algorithm uses information about vehicles listed within the past few months. Auto.ru also excludes older vehicles, as wear and tear on the parts may affect pricing more than the algorithm can predict.

The updates to Auto.ru’s call tracking features including dynamic call tracking and new filtering features. The dynamic call tracking feature ties calls to certain listings, rather than to sellers. Dealers can also filter calls by vehicle features, as well as caller information. The company has also upgraded its recording and export features.

Last month, Auto.ru saw 39.4 million visits, an 18% month-on-month increase, according to SimilarWeb. The site has also almost recovered from its pre-Covid levels of around 43 million monthly visits. As of June 2020, the vertical had 670,000 active listings.
