Santander Bank is now cooperating with AutoUncle Germany, the used-car price comparison and sales site, to offer new services to Santander’s dealers.

AutoUncle lists and compares around 10 million used cars from around 2,000 websites across Europe. The company also provides independent price evaluations.

Santander dealer partners who sign a contract with AutoUncle by the end of September can participate in a three-month free trial period. After that, the dealers will continue to receive special discounts. Santander believes that AutoUncle will generate additional leads for the bank’s 16,000 dealers.

“Since the corona-related closure of car dealerships, it has become clear how important technological progress is for our business,” said Stefan Lüttich, head of sales Germany at AutoUncle. He added that strategic partnerships are of paramount importance to drive digitization in the sector.

In June, Santander Consumer Bank announced its plans to launch an auto marketplace in Germany. Earlier this year, Santander Consumer Finance acquired around 94% of the Spanish company AutoDescuento, which owns vehicle marketplace
