André Eckert has taken over as managing director of AutoScout24 in Austria. Eckert is responsible for growing the company and driving AutoScout24’s move toward digitization.

Eckert (LinkedIn profile) has over a decade of experience in the media industry, most recently as managing director of OE24.TV. He has also served as managing directors at Russmedia Digital and Wiener Magazin.

Edgar Berger, group CEO of AutoScout24 Group, said Eckert has broad experience in the areas of classifieds, radio, print and television.

“We are happy a real sales professional is coming on board and who will further strengthen our growth in Austria,” Berger said.

Eckert was born in Munich. He studied business administration at Leopold-Franzens Universit in Innsbruck.

In April, German classifieds group Scout24 completed the sale of AutoScout24 to private equity investor Hellman & Friedman.

AutoScout24 is the largest auto site in Europe with over 2 million vehicle advertisements and more than 43,000 dealer customers. It operates in 18 countries. The site acquired leading auto site Gebrauchtwagen.at in 2017.
