Richard Dicello, the head of motors at Gumtree Australia, will also head up dealer sales at CarsGuide and AutoTrader, as the company seeks to bring the three automotive sites closer together.
Gumtree said Dicello’s expanded role will make him responsible for launching a single, combined “proposition” that integrates the three platforms and provides dealers with tools and insights to manage their advertising across the three sites.
“We’re excited to announce Richard’s new role to our dealer network as the next key step in our integration planning,” CarsGuide and AutoTrader CEO Shaun Cornelius said in a statement.
Dicello joined Gumtree Australia as its head of motors in July 2019, following several years at automotive finance company UFinance. Previously, he spent 10 years as the GM at BMW Financial Services.
Gumtree acquired CarsGuide and AutoTrader from Cox Automotive Australia, a subsidiary of the U.S.-based automotive giant, in December 2019. Gumtree was then acquired by Adevinta in July as part of its acquisition of the EBay Classifieds Group assets.
Together, Gumtree Cars, AutoTrader and CarsGuide are the No. 2 automotive sites in Australia, behind market leader Carsales.
