Ex-TrueCar VP of product Michael Rose has joined SureSale, a vendor offering an inspection program that lets car dealers validate the quality of used-car inventory.
Rose (LinkedIn profile) joined SureSale as vice president of product development. He is charged with helping the company gain more franchise and independent dealerships across the U.S., while nurturing and building partnerships with automotive brands, product providers and indirect lenders.
“No one knows or understands the automotive digital space — and the intricate relationship between consumer, auto dealer and OEM — better than Michael Rose,” said Jeffrey Schwartz, the co-founder and president of SureSale. “He has been on the digital frontlines since the first vehicle image was posted on a website.”
Rose got started at SureSale in March, but the announcement of his hiring was delayed due to “sensitivities around the pandemic, when so many in the auto industry were losing their jobs,” according to SureSale’s PR agency.
Rose worked at TrueCar from September 2018 until this past March. Before that, he served in various leadership roles at EBay Motors, Google and Autobytel among others.
“I could not be more impressed with the SureSale team and the innovative way they are addressing a huge gap in the automotive landscape,” Rose said in the hiring announcement. “The SureSale platform could not be timelier, nor more critical, to our industry as consumers increasingly opt for used vehicles and digital retail is accelerating.”
