Kijiji Autos, the used-vehicle vertical of Canada’s most popular classifieds site, has joined with marketing company 360 Agency to bring inventory-management and digital-retail tools to car dealerships.

Montreal-based 360 Agency has more than 1,000 dealership clients and certifications from several car makers for its dealer websites and retailing software. Certifying firms include GM, FCA, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Mazda, Jaguar Land Rover, Volkswagen and Polaris, according to Kijiji’s release on the deal.

By the end of 2020, all dealers with listings on Kijiji or Kijiji Autos will be able to take advantage of an inventory-management system that allows for outbound syndication of listings, off-platform advertising and more, Kijiji stated.

“We launched Kijiji Autos based on feedback from the dealer community, who wanted a dedicated automotive vertical where consumers could search for their next vehicle with confidence and ease”, said Leanne Kripp, head of Autos at Kijiji. “Our partnership with 360 Agency advances our multi-year strategy to evolve from Canada’s leading automotive marketplace to a full digital partner, offering a full suite of digital marketing solutions”. 

Kijiji, whose 64 million monthly visits (as of September) make it the leading Canadian horizontal site, launched its autos vertical, Kijijiautos.ca, in 2018. By traffic, it’s the second strongest autos site in Canada, behind AutoTrader.ca and in front of CarGurus’s Canadian site. 

In July, Oslo-based Adevinta agreed to buy Kijiji and the rest of the EBay Classified Group for cash and shares worth $9.2 billion U.S. The deal was expected to close sometime next year.
