Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) has launched a car leasing platform in the U.K. VWFS Drive offers U.K. consumers a direct option to lease a vehicle online.

The new service pulls from already-available stock at dealers associated with the Volkswagen Group.

Buyers can select a new car or van online and get a personalized quote. Once the order is placed, the new owner can choose a local franchised VW Group retailer from which to collect the vehicle.

VWFS said the platform includes an online and credit application for Audi, so contract hire customers can apply for finance using any device before choosing a retailer to sign the contract and fulfill the order. VWFS said Drive will be rolled out to all other brands on VWFS Drive in the coming weeks and months.

“Drive makes use of the speed and access provided by online platforms so that consumers can make their car choices at a time and place that is convenient to them,” said Hanna Rieger, product owner of E-Commerce at VWFS.

“All the available vehicles come directly from trusted brands within the Volkswagen Group, are competitively priced and, best of all, can be in the hands of a new owner within 30 days.”

Earlier this month, HeyCar, the Volkswagen and Daimler-backed used-car vertical, introduced fully-integrated financing applications powered by VWFS into its purchasing process in the U.K.
