MeetFrank, the Estonia-based job matching app, has tied up with Helsinki Business Hub to promote job offers from Finnish companies in the country’s capital. The Helsinki area is currently facing a shortage of workers in several industries.
As part of the cooperation, MeetFrank will run a campaign among its users to promote Helsinki. It will also let job seekers interested in Helsinki ask other users for practical tips about the city. Questions can also be asked anonymously to companies. The aim is to create a community around Helsinki that lowers the threshold for applying for jobs there.
Helsinki Business Hub has also offered relocation assistance for companies and prospective employees looking to relocate to the Finnish capital. It includes connections and industry-specific information, introductions to ecosystem partners, and a free 90-day relocation package for 15 select applicants.
MeetFrank, which launched in 2017, matches companies with top talent based salary expectations, skillset and experience. Users receive matches without providing identifying personal information.
MeetFrank has raised €2.4 million ($2.9 million U.S.) in funding to date and has over 420,000 users. Its largest markets are in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Germany. The app recently entered Pakistan, the first step in its plans to expand across Asia.
