Nigeria-based auto marketplace Cars45 has announced a partnership with last-mile delivery company Gokada, to improve logistics in the market with same day delivery services.

Leveraging its growing and expansive network of auto inspection centres to earn commissions off a courier service market size worth $40 million, Gokada customers get access to a wide range of retail outlets across the state for drop offs and pick-ups while also being exposed to a variety of Cars45 services.

Group Head Marketing and Communications of Cars45, Oluwashola Adekoya announced the new service at the company’s headquarters in Lagos adding that it costs a flat fee of $2.50 (1000)

Regulatory hurdles, traffic jams and inaccessible road networks have made logistics a nightmare in the market but Cars45 brand trust and proximity with inner city routes helps solve some of the challenges.

Cars45 was founded in 2016 and raised $5 million the following year. It has since expanded to Ghana and Kenya. Recently, after a seeming management scandal, OLX took control of the business.
