Prosus’s car-selling platform, OLX Autos, will begin to sell vehicles and services in Indonesia via Tokopedia, a local e-commerce marketplace. The agreement comes on the heels of a similar agreement between Tokopedia and Carro, another local automotive vertical. Carro recently began offering advance payments and additional credit options in concert with Tokopedia.
“With this cooperation, we hope to help customers discover the progress of the used-car ecosystem through alternative options that customers can find on Tokopedia,” said Agung Iskandar, director of classifieds and new business at OLX Indonesia.
Customers will be able to buy, trade-in cars, view listings, order inspections and pay for services via an OLX Autos-branded page on Tokopedia.
With around 138 million monthly visits every month, according to SimilarWeb, Tokopedia is the most visited e-commerce site in Indonesia.
