Zillow announced two executive promotions, moving Jeremy Wacksman from president to COO, and Susan Daimler, from senior vice president to president.
The promotions are “part of an organizational alignment that will centralize Zillow’s product, partner, engineering and operations teams across the company with a greater focus on the end-to-end customer experience, including solutions for buyers, sellers and renters,” Zillow explained in the announcement.
As COO, Wacksman is charged with creating stronger connections between Zillow’s lines of business, which include its Premier Agent advertising product as well as IBuying, mortgage lending, closing services, rental listings and — since last year — in-house brokerage services. Just last week, Zillow augmented brokerage services with automated tour scheduling.
Wacksman will continue to report to Zillow CEO and co-founder Rich Barton.
Wacksman, who has been with Zillow since 2009, was chief marketing officer from 2015-2018 before becoming president. He previously worked at Microsoft and Trilogy, a software company.
Daimler will report to Wacksman, as she did in her previous assignment as VP of Premier Agent. Daimler will continue to oversee Premier Agent and continue to manage New York City-focused StreetEasy and its corporate relations.
Prior to leading Premier Agent, Daimler was general manager of StreetEasy. She joined Zillow in 2012 after the company’s acquisition of Buyfolio, a co-shopping platform she co-founded.
