LeasingMarkt.de, one of the largest marketplaces for car leasing in Germany, has expanded to Austria with the takeover of leasing platform Autoleasen.at, marking another milestone for the company in the German-speaking region.

LeasingMarkt.de is part of the AutoScout24 Group, which last year acquired a majority stake in the marketplace. The company, founded in 2012, offers both private and commercial car leasing options. It launched its Swiss site, LeasingMarkt.ch, in 2018.

The takeover of Autoleasen.at will allow the company to accelerate its market entry in Austria.

“We have been observing the automotive market in Austria for a long time. The continuous exchange with local market participants and the increasing demand for leasing vehicles has strengthened our intention to offer our products in the entire DACH region,” said Robin Tschöpe, co-CEO of LeasingMarkt.de.

The co-founders of Autoleasen.at will stay on board and remain part of the Austrian team. The closing of the deal is expected to take place in the coming weeks.

“Autoleasen.at and LeasingMarkt.de make a perfect match. We bring many years of built-up know-how and a clear strategy to Austria. Through the cooperation our users will in the future benefit from broad and detailed leasing services,” said Thomas Behrens, co-CEO of LeasingMarkt.de.
