Property marketplace Lamudi Indonesia, part of the Emerging Markets Property Group, officially opened a new office in in Central Jakarta.
The inauguration ceremony of this new office was held by Martin Polman, Managing Director of Lamudi Indonesia. The PropTech classified, an incubator of Rocket Internet, occupies now an area of 600 square meters, with a two-year lease.
“We have a chat room and a communal room that can be shared. However, we also respect employee privacy by providing a phone room,” said Martin.
According to the managing director, Lamudi Indonesia continues to experience growth both in revenue (with a 300% from 2018) and traffic segment (reaching 1.5 million property seekers). Until the first quarter of 2019, Lamudi has served more than 10,000 SMEs and large developers operating throughout Indonesia. This achievement made Lamudi, that besides Indonesia currently operates in Mexico and the Philippines, plan to increase the number of employees by 120 people with a millennial age limit.
With this strategy, Martin is optimistic that Lamudi will become the main choice for property seekers, developers, investors and other professional partners and regarding this, he concluded “the purchasing power is quite high, as evidenced by the fact that the most sought-after property is worth Rp. 500 million to 1 billion, this phenomenon is a shift from previous years with lower property prices”.
