Neighborhood social app Nextdoor has bolstered its sales leadership with another LinkedIn alumnus: Juliana Jaoudi joins the firm to lead global enterprise ad sales, rejoining her former LinkedIn sales colleague Heidi Andersen, who moved to Nextdoor in July.
Jaoudi comes to Nextdoor after leading the mid-market, SMB, and new business teams for LinkedIn Marketing Solutions in North America. Her teams repeatedly grew revenue 70% year-over-year during her two-year tenure.
Jaoudi previously helped build the US and European teams for Travora Media and built and led digital sales at the Los Angeles Times. She began her tech career in 2001 with AOL, where she worked nine years with assignments in Europe and the U.S.
Jaoudi will report to Andersen, previously vice president of global sales at LinkedIn and now Nextdoor’s CRO.
Andersen praised her colleague: “We’re excited about the strength we’re seeing in our ads business and the opportunity to accelerate our growth further with Juliana on board. Her passion for delivering outcomes for customers and building diverse, high-achieving teams will help elevate our global sales team.”
Nextdoor makes money with targeted ads delivered through its news feed, including ones from small local businesses that promote themselves with a Local Deals product. The company also sells real estate ads to agents seeking seller clients.
Nextdoor offers free general-goods classifieds, but encourages users to submit credit card information so that they can donate a portion of sale proceeds to charities. The company has yet to monetize its classifieds for its own coffers.
Nextdoor reportedly wants to go public later this year, either through an IPO or a reverse merger with a publicly listed shell company.
