Lamudi Philippines,  the real estate marketplace owned by Emerging Markets Property Group (EMPG), plans to double the size of its team this year.

Kenneth Stern, Lamudi Philippines’ CEO, said the company is now focusing on the “right people, right leaders, and the right culture” as Lamudi moves to augment its workforce and business operations.

In May, the marketplace is planning to host its first online housing fair, featuring a network of property developers all over the Philippines, such as RLC, Aboitizland, Federal Land, Shang Properties, Solar Resources, and PrimeHomes. Lamudi has also renewed its partnership agreement with real estate giant Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC).

The company is focusing on strengthening its relationship with local developers as new builds are accounting for an increasingly larger proportion of home sales in the Philippines.

Lamudi is the No. 1 property marketplace in the Philippines by total monthly visits, with 1.1 million in March, according to SimilarWeb. It’s ahead of both DotProperty.ph (800,000) and Property24.ph (300,000).
