Zameen.com, the leading real estate marketplace in Pakistan, has teamed up with a home furnishing e-commerce website to promote exclusive properties, according to a LinkedIn post.

Furnishia.com was founded in 2019 at an incubator through software company NetSol Technologies, which is listed on Nasdaq and Pakistan Stock Exchange.

Furnishia is an e-commerce website for products ranging from furniture and kitchen appliances to interior design and automation services.

No financial terms were disclosed for the agreement under which Furnishia became an affiliate of Zameen.com.

“Powered by Netsol Technologies, Furnishia is now an affiliate of Zameen.com,” the company said in a LinkedIn post. The real estate marketplace will share exclusive inventory and property investment insights with users of the online shopping portal, it added.

Founded in 2006, Zameen.com operates in 32 cities and has more than 3,500 employees on payroll. It is owned by UAE-based Emerging Markets Property Group, which has joined forces with Prosus in the region.

In Q1, the property site was the top revenue earner for Malaysia-based marketplaces operator Frontier Digital Ventures, which holds 30% of its shares and runs 16 marketplaces in 20 markets. Zameen.com raked in approximately $10 million U.S. in revenue during the first quarter of 2021, up 10% year-on-year.

With a dominant position in the online property trading and rental markets, the property marketplace is seeing an emergence of new sites, including Ilaan.com and Graana.com that target opportunities amid limitations on the supply side.
