Prosus, the holding company that operates marketplaces worldwide, has disclosed revenues for OLX Autos in the financial year of 2021 (FY2021), which ended on March 31 this year

Revenues for OLX Autos in FY2021 reached $649 million US, 61 percent up, year-over-year.

Latin America and Asia contributed the most to the company’s revenues, Prosus said. The top-performing markets in H2 2021 were Argentina, Chile, India and the United States.

“Despite continued Covid-19 implications in H2, the number of cars transacted increased substantially versus H1 and at improved average selling prices and gross margins,” Prosus said.

Prosus said OLX Autos is still at a trading loss, which reached $118 million US in FY2021, slightly down from the loss of $127 million US it reported in FY2020.

Prosus said average selling prices in FY2021 rose 15 percent, year-over-year, from an undisclosed basis.
