Scout24, the company behind Germany’s largest real estate marketplace ImmoScout24, has appointed Rowena Patrao as chief technology officer (CTO). Patrao will head the technology department, also becoming a member of the company’s executive leadership team.

Patrao’s career spans 17 years. She has worked for start-ups and global tech companies, including Microsoft and Amazon. She worked on projects for Exchange Server, Windows Media, Windows Phone and Bing Ads at Microsoft for more than 11 years. The tech expert, who was born in India, also helped lead development efforts for the release of Kindle Fire, Amazon’s first tablet eReader. She holds holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in computer science and engineering.
Scout24 is one of the leading digital companies in Germany with ImmoScout24 being the market leader for digital real estate listing and search, followed by Axel Springer’s Immowelt marketplaces. The company has been on an expansion drive, recently acquiring a majority stake in prop-tech start-up Vermietet.de as the business continues to broaden its product scope.
