Allegro, the operator of leading b-to-c and c-to-c marketplaces in Poland, has introduced Allegro Family, a new feature that includes facilities for its platform users who are members of one family.
As part of Allegro Family, you can combine accounts held by up to 10 family members, including adults and children from 13 years of age. If one of the family members has purchased the Allegro Smart shipping service, all Allegro Family members can benefit from free deliveries and returns.
They can either shop independently or help each other with purchases on Allegro. The latter option is meant for family members who are less skilled in e-commerce. Such a person can ask another family member to buy the product of their choice using the “Ask to buy” button, which is now visible on every “Buy now” listing. The user asked for help receives an email notification by e-mail and Allegro’s internal notification system.
Allegro’s FY2020 net revenue was 4 billion Polish zlotys ($1.1 billion U.S.), up by 54.2% from 2.6 billion Polish zlotys in FY2019. Adjusted EBITDA was 1.8 billion Polish zlotys ($475.2 million U.S.) last year, which was 30.8% more than in FY2019.
As of the end of 2020, Allegro had around 13 million active buyers on its marketplace, an increase of almost 15% from 2019.
