Manisha Seewal, chief marketing officer of Singapore-headquartered used car classified Carro, announced her departure from the company after three years.

“I have come to love the brand so much in the last three years that I am known as Manisha from Carro. While goodbyes are never easy, it’s time for me to spend some time with my mom who is in Singapore and await my next adventure,” wrote Seewal in a LinkedIn post.

As CMO, Seewal set up in-house marketing teams in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia with brand, PR, social, SEO, performance marketing capabilities, and a creative hub in all four markets staffed by copywriters, videographers, video editors, graphic designers and journalists. Seewal was also the CEO of, Indonesia’s third-largest consumer-to-consumer e-classifieds marketplace, which Carro acquired in 2019.

“My journey as the first CMO of Carro to drive the company’s hyper-growth from a startup to a unicorn has been phenomenal. I also welcomed the opportunity to flex as a CEO in an emerging economy. I am thankful to the founder and CEO Aaron Tan for giving me this opportunity,” she said.

Meanwhile, Carro has selected Annop (Michael) Kettratad, the current CEO of Carro Thailand, to serve as the group’s chief branding officer. In his additional role, he will be responsible for accelerating the automotive marketplace brand in the retail business (B2C).

“I wish Annop (Michael) Kettratad success in his new role as the chief branding officer. Kettratad and I have been working closely together since Jan 2021 to grow the retail business in Thailand. Given his marketing background and business acumen, I am certain that he will scale the Carro brand to greater heights,” said Seewal.
