Maria Regina Botter, who until recently was Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Seek-owned jobs vertical Catho in Brazil, has assumed a new role with the Adevinta and Prosus-owned horizontal, OLX-Brazil.

Botter is now General Manager OLX at OLX-Brazil. OLX is the horizontal business unit of OLX-Brazil.

Botter took on the role almost immediately after she left Catho, but months after Lucas Vargas left OLX-Brazil to become the CEO of digital bank Nomad.

Late in 2020, OLX-Brazil had appointed Lucas Vargas, the former CEO of Grupo Zap, as the company’s GM for its horizontal business unit, following a business restructuring.

Botter, who was also the former Country Manager of auto vertical WebMotors in Brazil for over two years, has expertise in the autos and jobs verticals, as well as a solid background in finance.
