Adevinta Spain has named José Lezcano general manager of its horizontal Milanuncios.

Lezcano brings 13 years of experience in the digital business sector, notably in the areas of strategy, operations and product management, according to Adevinta.

He is a stalwart of the company, having spent over three years as vice president of business operations for global markets, and prior to that five years in various roles at Schibsted. The company said the appointment reflected its “commitment to fostering and retaining internal talent”.

Lezcano replaces interim GM João Eça, who remains GM of coches.net and motos.net, other Adevinta holdings in the Iberian country.

The incoming GM will work to “continue positioning the Milanuncios Express service as the safest option for the sale of second-hand items 100% online, with an integral management of door-to-door shipping and secure transactions,” added Adevinta.

“After having worked with almost all Adevinta’s countries and marketplaces, I undertake this new chapter of my journey in the company with a lot of energy and enthusiasm,” said Lezcano.

“For me it is a privilege to be the new general manager of one of the leading platforms in Spain that has a mission to reward and promote the sale of second-hand products as a sustainable alternative to improve society. I am confident that I can do my bit to reinforce the excellent work carried out by João and the team in recent years.”

Milanuncios has recently launched a commercial campaign to underline its commitment to the circular economy and its intention to respond to changing customer lifestyles and needs.

The platform has more than 23 million users per month, who post more than 65,000 new ads every day, contributing to over 12 million ads on the site, according to company data.

Adevinta also owns Fotocasa, Habitaclia and InfoJobs in Spain.
