The leading general marketplace in Italy — Adevinta-owned Subito.it — has introduced a suite of tools that will propel its transactions-led capabilities. The product, called TuttoSubito (translated as ‘everything now’), encompasses payment and shipment services.

The new service was created to respond to the shifting needs of users throughout the pandemic, with the goal of shortening distances and managing sales with a totally digital, integrated and secure process.

”Security is not only guaranteed by the integration of payments and shipments in the marketplace, but also by the engagement of the community that already has 13 million users monthly, and which generated 26 million sales in 2020. Once the sale has been completed, users can share their experience and make it available to others, evaluating the user with whom they have exchanged services and leaving a useful review for others,” said Giuseppe Pasceri, CEO of Subito.

TuttoSubito has a chat feature integrated into the marketplace where sellers and buyers can agree on the price, exchange information and manage delivery directly, without sharing sensitive personal data such as telephone number or banking details.

The integrated payment tool works with a purchase protection for both the seller and the buyer. This service is free for sellers, while buyers have to pay a 4% commission on the item sale price, with a maximum ceiling cost of 20 euros.

Thanks to collaboration with leading shipping companies, such as Poste Italiane and Macigno, it is possible to book the collection of the package at home or other locations and receive the delivery from anywhere in Italy.

“In addition to working on the security of the platform thanks to the integrated transaction service, we want to involve our users so that they themselves can shape their shopping experience to create a climate of trust in our large community, which has almost 2.8 million of users every day,” said Pasceri.
