Cox Automotive has appointed Stuart Miles as managing director of its Retail Solutions Business in the U.K. and Europe.
Miles (LinkedIn profile) is the former MD at automotive technology developers Keyloop which was rebranded from CDK Global in March. He left Keyloop in June following its $1.4 billion acquisition by tech investment company Francisco Partners. He has over 25 years’ experience in the automotive industry, mostly working in contract hire, leasing and finance.
Miles will manage and develop Cox’s digital retail business for U.K. and Europe and will join its European Operating Board. This is his second stint at Cox Automotive, having worked there from April 2016 to December 2017 as business development director for the U.K. business.
“The culture, ambition and passion from all team members is what drew me back to Cox Automotive,” Miles said.
“I’m confident we will innovate to succeed and, by having the customer at the heart of everything we do, grow the Retail Solutions businesses and win together.”
He will report to Pete Bell, Cox Automotive’s chief operating officer for Europe.
“As the last 18 months have shown, having a strong online presence is vital for a business to succeed in this ever-changing world,” said Bell.
“Stuart has a vital role in developing our offering in automotive digital retail and marketing across Europe.”
Cox Automotive has stated that it wants to double the size of its business by 2034 and has made acquisitions to help it do so, including cloud-based fleet software business FleetMaster in July.
