Kahdeksas Päivä has operated as an IBuyer-style property site since 2016. The company hasn’t been successful in the market and recently went through corporate restructuring. The remaining 20 employees of the company will now continue to work for Kodit.
Earlier this year, Kodit also acquired rent-to-own startup Lucas in Spain. As part of the deal, Lucas has taken on the management and expansion efforts for Kodit in the Spanish market. The company intends to continue to grow its business through acquisitions, according to a report on Finish news site Hs.fi.
Kodit, founded in 2017, has grown to become a leading IBuyer (instant home buyer) startup in Europe with operations in Finland, Spain, and Poland, and investors including Schibsted and NREP. Currently, the company employs a team of over 200 professionals across all its locations.
