India-based learning service Unacademy injected $20 million in its screening startup Relevel to capitalize on growing response from tech freshers to get jobs on skill assessment.

Founded four months ago, Relevel conducts skills evaluation in frontend, backend, and business development and helps job-seekers find jobs in 15 days.

The startup has accumulated more 200,000 users and is working with 64 active employers who interview candidates after tests.

The investment is to expand skill assessment capacity across various sectors and upgrade the platform.

Unacademy says Relevel has 100% placement rate for those who clear exams. It is an offspring of a YouTube channel and has acquired seven firms, including a recruitment site TapChief, since founding in 2015.

Other main skill assessment services in India include AugLi, WheeBox, HackerRank, Scaler Academy, and Rekrut India.

This is besides digital businesses operator Info Edge, which strengthens talent supply side of recruitment marketplace Naukri with acquisition of skill assessment site DoSelect.
