U.K.-based job aggregator Adzuna has appointed Kit Glover as chief commercial officer to lead the company through its next stage of growth.
Glover (LinkedIn profile) has experience leading marketplace and recruitment businesses. He joins from on-demand staffing platform Coople where he was U.K. MD, leading its commercial strategy and improving its sales and operations functions to help it grow rapidly. Prior to that, he was a senior director at EBay for both its European and then global B2C product marketing business working closely with its community of sellers.
At Adzuna Glover will lead the commercial and marketing teams to help grow and scale the company. He will manage Adzuna’s overseas offices in Indianapolis, U.S. and Sydney, Australia and further develop existing relationships with programmatic agencies, direct employers and job boards, including Total Jobs and Reed.
“Kit’s appointment further strengthens our senior leadership team and I am delighted to see him bring his marketplace and recruitment acumen to Adzuna,” said Doug Monro, CEO and co-founder of Adzuna. “He will be an integral part of the team as we continue to grow and scale.”
Adzuna operates in 16 separate countries and lists over 12 million jobs each month from a wide range of job boards and job aggregators, using technology to help match candidates to the right jobs.
Last month reports suggested that the company plans to list on the London Stock Exchange with a valuation of up to £100 million ($137 million U.S.). Just two weeks before it appointed James Parr as chief financial officer. Parr has extensive experience in bringing businesses to scale and in mergers and acquisitions.
