Prosus-backed OLX.pl has introduced a new fee for using its OLX Shipment and OLX Payment offer in a new regulation that will be in effect from Oct. 25.
The maximum commission for using both services can be up to PLN 50 ($12.7 U.S.). It will be added to the item price and paid by the buyer.
According to the new OLX regulations, it will still be possible to list items without the OLX Payment and OLX Shipment services. In such a situation, the buyers and sellers must independently agree on a delivery and payment method.
OLX Poland launched online payments using technology from Adyen last year. The horizontal also introduced a buyer protection service, which allows buyers to receive compensation if the purchased product doesn’t measure up to the listing.
OLX.pl is the largest general classifieds site in Poland. In September, it received a total of 111 million visits to its web and mobile sites, according to SimilarWeb.
