MENA-focused real estate marketplace Property Finder has appointed former StepStone executive Christophe de Rassenfosse as its new chief product officer.

Rassenfosse, who spent 12 years at Germany-based e-recruitment site StepStone as a senior member in the executive leadership team at StepStone group, said he had been charged with overseeing a digital transformation at UAE-based Property Finder.

“We are a technology company and having an experienced CPO like Christophe will help us build better products that empower property seekers to find their homes faster and with less stress,” Property Finder president Ari Kesisoglu said.

In February, Property Finder also appointed former StepStone chief technology officer Gauthier Andries as its CTO.

Property Finder has come under increased pressure to step up its digital offering after Emirates Property Group, the owners of key rival Bayut, merged their Gulf operations with OLX group, the owners of the UAE’s biggest horizontal Dubizzle, bringing the two sites under the same ownership last year.
