Indeed, the world’s top recruitment site in terms of traffic, announced the promotion of five employees to its senior leadership team, effective immediately. 

“We always tell our employees that we want their next job to be at Indeed,” Indeed CEO Chris Hyams wrote in an announcement. “Today I am proud to share that five members of our team have done just that, and have joined our senior leadership team.” 

The appointees are:

LaFawn Davis

  • LaFawn Davis was named SVP, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), a group driving Indeed’s initiatives around social equity and sustainability. Davis was previously the group’s VP, launching the company’s first ever ESG goals. The first Black member of Indeed’s senior leadership team, she joined Indeed in 2019 and was one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s 100 Women of Impact, Fast Company’s Queer50 and San Francisco Business Times’s Most Influential Women in Business. 
  • Sean McSherry

    Sean McSherry was promoted to SVP, Finance. He will will lead the company’s investment strategy to drive Indeed’s growth. McSherry joined Indeed in 2012 and was most recently VP of Finance. Prior to Indeed, he held several senior leadership roles in finance, including investment banking and finance strategy.

    Anthony Moisant

  • Anthony Moisant has been assigned the joint role as chief information officer and chief security officer. As CIO, Moisant is responsible for the internal technology to run the business, support employees and find and retain customers. As CSO, he leads a team that safeguards the information job seekers, customers and employees entrust with Indeed. Moisant joined Indeed last year and is the first military veteran in the firm’s senior leadership team. 
  • Lisa Ramirez

    Lisa Ramirez was named SVP, Operations, responsible for leading Indeed’s operational efficiency and effectiveness. Ramirez joined Indeed in 2019 and was formerly chief customer officer and SVP of Communications at Netspend.

    Brendan Sterne

  • Brendan Sterne was named VP and  general manager of the Job Seeker Group. He will lead the product, engineering, design and operations teams that help job seekers get jobs. Having joined Indeed in 2013, he launched the Indeed Incubator, an internal innovation fund and startup studio. Before Indeed, Sterne led the Innovation Labs group at Bazaarvoice.
