The Belgium-based subsidiary of global staffing group Randstad NV has acquired recruitment and consultancy services provider Hudson Benelux for an undisclosed sum, Randstad has announced.
The acquisition is aimed at increasing the company’s market share in the growing sector of permanent appointments of professionals, executive search and HR services, Randstad said in the announcement.
Founded in 1982, Hudson offers full-stack HR services with more than 275 recruitment experts.
“The addition of Hudson is a strong extension of our service offerings to clients and offers access to exciting new opportunities, which further strengthens our market position,” said Jacques van den Broek, CEO and chairman of Randstad.
Founded in 1960 and listed on NYSE Euronext (RAND.AS), Randstad specializes in providing recruitment and HR services. Based in the Netherlands, it is operational in 38 markets. The company acquired job site Monster.com in 2016 and also owns freelancer marketplace Twago.com.
“Randstad’s international network and solid base will help Hudson in its further development and growth. By joining forces, Randstad expresses its confidence in our expertise, our tools, and the quality of our people,” said Ivan De Witte, CEO of Hudson Benelux.
