Singapore-based auto marketplace Carro has unveiled Carro Square in Jakarta, Indonesia — an office block and area housing its Indonesian headquarters, along with an on-site service center and a future car shopping area.

Carro has become something akin to a one-stop-shop for all things in the automotive retail / mobility space. Aside from both buying and selling cars, the company also has a car-subscription service and offers various add-ons in auto financing and insurance.

The inauguration of Carro Square coincides with Carro’s sixth anniversary in the used-vehicle industry and the recent opening of two customer experience centres (CEC) in South Tangerang and Semarang in Indonesia.

“By combining technology and personalized services, consumers can enjoy a one-stop solution, starting from consultation, accessing the complete history of the vehicle, conducting test drives, buying and selling cars, to after-sales services,” said Carro co-founder Aditya Lesmana.

During the inauguration, the CEO of retail at Carro Indonesia, Shahrol Azman, mentioned Carro’s increase in sales in Q3 2021 — an 11-fold growth compared to the same period last year. Almost half of all sales transactions were carried out online.

“This cannot be separated from the shift in the consumer market, which is now dominated by the millennial generation. For the millennial generation, practicality and speed are important, and the application of technology is a solution that can answer their needs in buying a car,” added Azman.
