Prosus-backed OLX.pl has tied up with local logistics firm InPost, according to a report on Polish news site Bankier.pl.
The companies have signed a cooperation contract for 5 years. Under the agreement, OLX users will be allowed to choose deliveries to Inpost’s parcel locker network Paczkomaty as part of OLX Shippment offer.
The maximum commission for using OLX Shipment and OLX Payment services is up to PLN 50 ($12.7 U.S.). It is added to the item price and paid by the buyer. Users can still list items without the OLX Payment and OLX Shipment services. In such a situation, the buyers and sellers must independently agree on a delivery and payment method.
OLX Poland launched online payments using technology from Adyen in 2020. The horizontal also introduced a buyer protection service, which allows buyers to receive compensation if the purchased product doesn’t measure up to the listing.
OLX.pl is the largest general classifieds site in Poland. In November 2021, it received a total of 106.9 million visits to its web and mobile sites, according to SimilarWeb.
