E-recruiting brand StepStone Group has appointed Nick Marten head of content and editor-in-chief. He will report to Kirsten Brückner, vice president global brand.

Marten assumes a newly created position, in which — according to information he shared on Twitter — he will set up an interdisciplinary editorial team that will create content on careers, salaries, job changes and job market news.

Marten and his team — who are now part of StepStone’s brand experience department — joined the job site at the start of the year

Prior to the appointment, his most recent role was director brand and communications at StepStone subsidiary Gehalt.de, working out of Hamburg, which he held for almost two years. He also spent six years at online mail order company Otto, which operates an online salary portal, where he became media spokesperson.

StepStone Group is owned by Axel Springer. In November, it was reported that the Berlin-based media giant was preparing to list StepStone on the Frankfurt stock exchange, with a valuation of around €7 billion ($8.1 billion).

The online jobs platform is due to be floated in the first half of 2022.
