Leading horizontal OLX Pakistan has set up a new office in the country’s second largest city, according to a LinkedIn post.

The new facility in Lahore has been designed to offer a chic contemporary corporate environment with an open office space, meeting rooms and a cafeteria.

Founded a decade ago as part of South Africa-based multinational holding company Naspers, OLX Pakistan is now operated and owned by Emerging Markets Property Group (EMPG), which also owns the No. 1 real estate marketplace in Pakistan, Zameen.com.

Under a $150 million investment deal, Naspers’ subsidiary Prosus holds the majority shareholding in EMPG.

OLX Pakistan faces virtually no competition from businesses of its profile. However, it has competitors in the shape of auto, property and job verticals.

Since its entry into b-to-c ecommerce, it has another rival, Alibaba-owned Daraz.pk.
