OLX Group has announced the appointment of Tim Davis as its new global chief technology officer.

The Prosus-owned international classifieds business said it was “extremely happy” to welcome Davis into the role.
“He brings more than 30 years of experience in the technology sector, building some of the world’s most widely used consumer products across a variety of tech platforms,” said the company, announcing the hire.
“His appointment will help us accelerate our vision of building marketplace ecosystems that are enabled by tech, powered by trust, and loved by our customers. Tim, we’re very excited to have you onboard!”
According to his LinkedIn profile, Davis’s most recent role was as VP of engineering at Booking.com, where he spent close to three years. Prior to that he held the similar position of VP of product and engineering at iStreamPlanet (AT&T), also for three years.
He also had spells at Amazon and Microsoft.
