Polish largest horizontal OLX.pl will add PayU as another payment gateway in its OLX Payment service from March. Both OLX and PayU are owned by Prosus.

OLX Poland launched online payments using technology from Adyen in 2020. Funds paid by the buyer are kept in the payment operator’s escrow account until the parcel is collected. Now users will have a choice whether to choose Adyen or PayU as their payment operator in the transaction, according to a report on Polish news site Cashless.pl

Using OLX Payments and OLX Delivery comes with a fee that can be up to PLN 50 ($12.7 U.S.). It is added to the item price and paid by the buyer. It is also still possible to list items without the OLX Payment and OLX Shipment services. In such a situation, the buyers and sellers must independently agree on a delivery and payment method.

OLX.pl is a dominant general classifieds site in Poland. In January, it received a total of 111 million visits to its web and mobile sites, according to SimilarWeb.
