Allegro, the operator of leading b-to-c and c-to-c marketplaces in Poland, will launch a real estate category on its general classified site AllegroLokalnie.pl from April, according to a report on Polish news site WirtualneMedia.pl.
The category will include for-sale listings and rentals. Initially, users will be able to add listings using a web browser only. The option to list real estate via AllegoLokalnie’s mobile app will be added in the future.
Listing real estates will be free of charge for 30 days on AllegroLokalnie.pl. There will be also an additional paid option to add your listing on Allegro.pl, the company’s main b-to-c and c-to-c platform.
Allegro launched AllegroLokalnie in 2019 to move peer-to-peer transactions from Allegro.pl. But, since its launch, AllegroLokalnie has been plagued with issues. After users began to complain about its functionality, Allegro capitulated and let users switch back to Allegro.pl for c-to-c transactions. Despite AllegroLokalnie’s problems, Allegro has continued developing the platform in the hopes of eventually transitioning users to the site.
Allegro.pl is the largest marketplace in Poland. In February, it saw 182.6 million visits to its desktop and mobile sites, according to SimilarWeb. AllegroLokalnie saw 12.8 million visits in the same period.
