Spain-based digital car retailer Clicars has appointed José Carlos del Valle (LinkedIn profile) as CEO. Del Valle had been chief sales officer (CSO) at the company for 18 months prior to his promotion.

Del Valle has a degree in telecommunications engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Prior to joining Clicars, he had worked head of delivery experience Italy/Spain and senior vendor manger – video games at Amazon, senior manager of global IT strategy and governance at Telefónica and a consultant at Roland Berger. Del Valle will replace the co-CEOs of the company, Pablo Fernández and Carlos Rivera (who are also its co-founders), who will assume a more strategic role. 

Del Valle commented: “I am looking forward to the challenge of continuing to promote the growth of Clicars and keeping the Spanish company as one of the undisputed players in the sector.” 

Meanwhile, Julien Divay (LinkedIn profile), who had been chief financial officer (CFO) at Clicars since 2018, has replaced Del Valle as CSO.

Prior to joining Clicars, he had been CFO at Parclick, an online parking spot reservation company. He has a degree in Economics and English from Université Paris Nanterre.

Divay will be replaced as CFO by María Ares de Andrés (LinkedIn profile) . Prior to joining Clicars, she had been a consultant and manager at professional services provider PwC and vice president of finance at IronHack, an international chain of tech bootcamps. She has a degree in management and a masters in accounting and finance from Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid. 

In 2017, Clicars was acquired by French company Aramis Group, which is majority-owned by Stellantis Group, the car manufacturer formed by the merger of PSA Group and Fiat Chrysler.
